The knee is one of our most used joints, but also one of the joints that seems to suffer the most as we age. Pain with use, pain in the middle of the night or difficulty standing or sitting for even a few minutes is pretty common, and knee replacement surgeries are becoming more and more common. Structurally the knee is an incredibly strong joint, and ‘joint wear’ doesn’t really happen normally in the way we think, especially for how little we move as a culture. Because of how strong the knee joint is the brain often gives it less ‘stability’ so that this stability can be used in a more vulnerable joint like the ankle or the hip, causing forces to be transferred through the knee badly, leading to increased wear and pain. With Neurokinetic Therapy┬« we are able to quickly, thoroughly, and permanently rehabilitate the knee to give it back the stability it needs so badly, which removes the instability, pain and dysfunction that comes with an unstable knee.
